Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

FastSweep is built privacy-first. This policy explains what data the app and this website handle, and the choices you have. In short: scanning happens on your Mac, and the contents of your files are never uploaded as part of scanning.

1. On-device scanning

All scanning, analysis, and cleanup decisions run locally on your computer. FastSweep reads file metadata and, where needed, file contents to identify clutter, duplicates, and review items, but this processing stays on your device. No account is required to scan and review in either edition.

2. Information we do not collect

  • We do not upload the contents of your files.
  • We do not sell or rent personal information.
  • We do not require an account to scan, review, or monitor.
  • We do not collect telemetry from scanning or from the live Monitor.

3. Cloud cleanup connections (Direct edition)

If you connect Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive, FastSweep uses the OAuth 2.0 authorization-code flow with PKCE over a loopback redirect, so no client secret or token passes through a third-party server. Provider tokens are stored in your macOS Keychain on your Mac. Listing requests go directly from your Mac to the provider. Removals you confirm are sent to the provider's trash or recoverable window, not hard-deleted. You can disconnect a provider at any time, which discards the stored tokens.

4. Accounts and licenses (Direct edition)

The Mac App Store edition has no account at all. The Direct edition offers an optional account used only to manage licenses and device slots for write-capable tools. If you create one, we store the account identifier, device identifier, license status, and plan. You can request deletion of that account data from the app's account screen or by email.

5. Payments

The Mac App Store edition is free and the app never sees App Store payment details. Direct-edition plans, if you choose one, are billed by our payment processor; the app and this website do not store card numbers.

6. Diagnostics

FastSweep does not automatically upload diagnostics or file samples. The activity log of every action stays on your Mac. Support may ask you to describe a problem by email, and you decide what information to include.

7. This website

This marketing website is static and does not set advertising cookies. A theme preference may be stored in your browser's local storage to remember light or dark mode. Aggregate, privacy-respecting analytics may be used to understand traffic.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold. To exercise these rights, contact gchahal@auraone.ai.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
